SHOW UP Southend is operated by Show Up Productions – a theatre company based in Southend. SHOW UP SOUTHEND is an online arts and entertainment listing site which promotes events occurring in and around Southend. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy sets out what we do with your personal data.
WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT
NEWSLETTER – To subscribe to our newsletter you will need to submit an email address. We need this information to be able to send you the newsletter. If you subscribe to the newsletter you grant permission for us to contact you in this way. You will always have the option to unsubscribe. You must be 18+ to subscribe to our newsletter.
SUBMITTING AN EVENT – To submit an event you will have to provide your name and email address. If you upload an image, you should avoid ones with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. Also please make sure you have permission of anyone in the photo before submitting it.
WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH
The newsletter has been set up using Mailchimp, who acts as a processor on our behalf. To see Mailchimp’s privacy policy relating to your data please click here. We will not share your data with third party companies without your permission.
WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. Just drop us an email!

This website is free to access. We reserve the right to not list any event that we believe is unsuitable for this site. Our decision is final. If you submit an event to this site you also agree for it to be added to our monthly newsletter. The event will be automatically removed after it has occurred. There is no minimum or maximum amount of time an event can be listed.
To be listed as a featured event will cost a fee – see details on our About page. We reserve the right to decide what events are listed on this featured section, and our decision is final. We also reserve the right to alter the fee.
This website contains links to other websites, which are not managed by us. We will check these links are accurate and relevant to the listed event, but we are not responsible for their content. We provide these links for your convenience but do not monitor them or endorse their content. We accept no liability for any resulting acts, omissions, cancellations or losses incurred, or information you may come across after leaving this site.
